This Privacy Policy describes how Crazy Cursor ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Chrome browser extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

- Interaction Mode: Your preferred interaction mode (slide mode or drag mode)
- Particle Count: Your preference for particle density (many or few)
- Extension State: Whether the extension is enabled or disabled
1.2 No Personal Information
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information such as:
- Your name, email address, or contact information
- Your browsing history or website URLs
- Your IP address or device identifiers
- Any personal data from websites you visit
- Payment information (handled securely by third-party payment processors)
2. How We Use Your Information
The information stored locally on your device is used solely for the following purposes:
- Extension Functionality: To remember your preferences and provide a personalized experience
- Settings Persistence: To maintain your selected language, effects, and settings across browser sessions
- Performance Optimization: To optimize the extension's performance based on your particle count preferences
Important: All data is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, nor do we transmit, any of your stored information to external servers or third parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.sync). This data:
- Remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers
- Is synchronized across your Chrome browser instances (if you are signed into Chrome)
- Can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data
3.2 Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your locally stored data:
- Data is stored using Chrome's secure storage API
- No data is transmitted over the network
- No external servers or databases are used to store your information
4. Permissions and Access
Crazy Cursor requires the following permissions to function properly:
4.1 Storage Permission
Used to save your preferences (language, selected effects, settings) locally on your device.
4.2 ActiveTab Permission
Allows the extension to inject particle effects on the currently active browser tab. This permission is only used when you enable the extension.
4.3 Host Permissions (<all_urls>)
Required to inject particle effects on web pages you visit. The extension:
- Only injects visual particle effects (does not access page content)
- Does not read, modify, or transmit any website data
- Does not track your browsing behavior
- Does not collect information from websites you visit
Note: We do not access, read, or transmit any content from the websites you visit. The extension only adds visual particle effects to your cursor movement.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Payment Processing
If you choose to upgrade to Premium, payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store or have access to your payment information. Please refer to the payment processor's privacy policy for information about how they handle your payment data.
